Aegis Health and Safety facilitated supervision over a drydock project in Brest, France in August 2022.

The project was in aid of a large maintainence and renewal project of a Gas Cargo Vessel, a very dynamic project with lots of moving parts that presented its own risks and hazards ranging from Co2 build up, Working in confined spaces, Hotworks, lifting of heavy components and machinery and Fire Safety Management within the DryDock and confines of the vessel.

Adam, our Founder and Health and Safety Advisor undertook a contracted role for FireAid Maritime Safety to provide Health and Safety supervision for the DryDock Fireguards, and made reports to the ships captain and SLT on any issues that were raised during the day to day runnings of the project.

A Great Project to work on, that offered a new experience in Health and Safety management, with Aegis offering a service that ensured Fire Safety and Safe Practices were maintained on a fast moving- Dynamic project.
